Enchanted Jungle Treehouse
A proper treehouse with a long staircase up to it, on a peaceful dead-end street in Spanish Lookout where the host says you fall asleep to the creek and wake to the monkeys. Inside is a loft with two queen beds and a pull-out couch, a full bathroom with a spacious shower, and a kitchenette with sink, mini fridge, cooktop and coffee maker, so a couple or a family of four can self-cater. The screened porch is where you spend the evenings. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi are both in. Spanish Lookout is a Mennonite farming community north of San Ignacio, which makes this an unusual base: quiet, well kept, and still within reach of the Cayo ruins and caves. Rated 4.96 after more than fifty stays.
